This in-person Reiki course is suitable for complete beginners and for those who feel intuitively called to Reiki but would like a grounded, welcoming introduction without pressure or overwhelm.
Held on Bank Holiday Monday, this Reiki Level 1 day gives you the opportunity to learn, receive, and reconnect away from the busyness of everyday life.
What Is Reiki Level 1?
Reiki Level 1, sometimes called Reiki First Degree, is the foundation of the Reiki journey. The focus is on self-healing, energy awareness, and learning how to channel Reiki safely and confidently.
No prior experience is required, and no specific belief system is needed. Reiki is gentle, practical, and accessible, and many people are surprised by how natural it feels.
People attend Reiki Level 1 for many reasons, including supporting their own wellbeing, learning practical self-care techniques, helping family and friends, or exploring a long-held interest in energy healing.
What You Will Learn on the Day
• Learn what Reiki energy is and how it works
• Receive your four Reiki Level 1 attunements

A Supportive Reiki 1 Course for Beginners

Common Reiki Level 1 Questions
Do You Need Any Spiritual Experience?
No. You do not need to meditate, visualise, or have any previous energy-work experience. Reiki is taught in a clear, practical way, and everything is explained gently and thoroughly.
How Long Do I Have To Wait To Learn Reiki Level 2
It is recommended you wait at least one to three months. After Reiki 1 you practice Reiki on yourself daily for 21 days. In this time it is helping you to get used to the Reiki energy and also help you support your own healing. It is a bit like art, the more you practice the better you usually become. It is a life skill
How Do I Prepare for the Day
You are paying me to teach you. I recommend not reading up as it can get confusing. I would suggest the night before getting sleep and avoiding lots of alcohol. You will be investing a day in how to heal yourself (and if you want loved ones). I want to help you learn, to practice on the day so you leave the day with your Reiki 1 qualification and feeling excited about what you have learnt.
I Get Anxious In Groups
This is perfectly natural. Reiki 1 is about helping to support yourself in your healing. Being in a new place, with new people can be daunting. I grew up with a mum who used to suffer from high anxiety and panic attacks. In fact, I started getting them after an emergency c-section to give birth to my daughter. So, have a chat with me.
Sometimes, it can be the small things that make the difference. Such as arriving a little earlier, sitting by a window or near the door, having your own cup or being able to go out in the garden on a regular basis.
I’ve helped other students attend. Imagine how proud you will feel having done your Reiki 1 training day, met other spiritual souls and getting your Reiki 1 qualification. In the future, you might even choose to do Reiki level 2 to become a Reiki therapist to help others like yourself. Everyone’s Reiki journey is different.
