We are all unique souls, and we all come to Reiki for different reasons. Some people come to Reiki Level 1 training because they want a gentle way to support themselves through everyday life. Some have heard Reiki can feel soothing, calming and deeply relaxing. Others are curious about energy healing, spiritual development, or learning a life skill they can use at home.
To learn Reiki 1, you do not need to have experienced Reiki before. You may be completely new to Reiki, or you may have received Reiki and now feel ready to learn how to use it for yourself. Reiki Level 1 is the first step in learning how to do Reiki. It is often known as the self-healing level because it teaches you how to begin working with Reiki energy for yourself. You will also learn how to offer Reiki to loved ones at home.
For some students, Reiki Level 1 is simply a beautiful day of self-healing and personal development. For others, it becomes the first step towards Reiki Level 2, professional practice, or adding Reiki to an existing therapy, wellness, beauty or client-based business in the future.
There is no pressure to know where Reiki will lead. You only need to feel drawn to begin.
Reiki Level 1 Training Day
This one-day Reiki Level 1 course in Culcheth, Warrington, Cheshire is practical, friendly and supportive. Students travel from Warrington, St Helens, Stockport, Wigan, Widnes, Chorley and across the North West to learn Reiki in a calm, welcoming setting. It is approved and accredited training and you will gain a Reiki Level 1 qualification at the end of it.
What You Will Learn on Your Reiki Level 1 Training Course
During your Reiki Level 1 training, you will learn the history of Reiki, the 5 Reiki principles, how Reiki energy is traditionally understood, and how to begin using Reiki in everyday life. You will be taught how to give yourself Reiki, with practical experience on the day, and how to offer Reiki to a loved one at home. You will also receive your 4 Reiki Level 1 attunements, which are traditionally said to help you connect to Reiki energy more easily.
This is not just theory from a book. You will be guided step by step in a way that is calm, clear and practical.

What you are guaranteed when you train with Culcheth Healing
When you book your Reiki Level 1 training with Culcheth Healing, you are guaranteed to be taught by myself, Julia, an experienced Reiki Master Teacher, not someone teaching theory alone. I have over a decade of Reiki teaching experience and run a successful Reiki practice, Culcheth Healing. I want to pass on my years of Reiki knowledge to students.
I am registered with the UK Reiki Federation at Reiki Master Teacher level. I offer Reiki courses approved and accredited by IPHM. I am a recognised Reiki expert, featured in UK and Australian media on Reiki and spiritual topics,
My Reiki lineage that can be traced back to Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki. This can be reassuring if you later decide to continue to Reiki Level 2, offer Reiki to the public, or become a Reiki Master in the future.
Most importantly, the day is taught in a supportive, down-to-earth way. You do not need to be “school smart”. You will be guided clearly and gently so you can learn, practise and qualify with confidence.
After Reiki Level 1
After your Reiki Level 1 training, you are encouraged to practise self-Reiki for 21 days. This helps you become familiar with Reiki energy and gives you time to build confidence using Reiki for yourself.
If you later feel drawn to continue, Reiki Level 2 is usually the next step. Reiki Level 2 is the level often taken by students who want to offer Reiki more professionally or charge for Reiki treatments. But there is no pressure. Reiki Level 1 can be complete in itself as a self-healing day, a spiritual development experience, and a valuable life skill.
