I am registered with the UK Reiki Federation at Reiki Master Teacher Level. My Reiki training heritage has been checked, verified and can be traced back to the original founder Usui in Japan last century. This is important for some clients if you ever choose to become a Reiki therapist.

Common Questions
Question: I am not very good at learning. I didn’t get any qualifications at school. Does it matter?
Answer: I believe we all have natural talents that often school does not cater for or discover. Reiki healing is one of those. I have taught people from a variety of backgrounds. I am showing you how to do it, practical exercises to follow. The pressure is on me to teach you, that is what you are paying me for, so you can enjoy the day.
Question: Do I have to do any learning beforehand?
Answer: No, in fact you are better not doing any research or reading on reiki or reading. Reiki healing is using your hands, it is a practical life skill.
Question: How long do I have to wait to learn Reiki Level 2?
Answer: You will be practising Reiki on yourself for 21 days after the Reiki training day. This is to build up the Reiki energy, to get you familiar with it and also help heal yourself. Help you to let go of any unwanted energy.
You can then do Reiki Level 2 a minimum of a month to three months after. It is like art, rushing learning it doesn’t make you a better artist. Also, because we are working with your body’s energy the gap is better for you energetically.
Question: I don’t know what I want to do in the future with Reiki. I think it is simply to help myself. Does that sound selfish?
Answer: No, not at all. The world is like a jar of marbles – white ones representing happy people, grey happyish people and black not happy people. If you become a brighter white shiny marble, your happiness ripples out to others. Some of the grey marbles might become white and some of the black may turn grey.
We need people who are healing themselves and creating more happiness. If you work in a company, your happiness ripples out to that company, if you are a parent your happiness ripples out to your family. Your happiness and wellbeing is important.
Question: I want to become a Reiki therapist, what qualifications do I need?
Answer: You need Reiki Level 1, so you get used to the energy and spend some time healing yourself. You can practice on friends and family.
Then, a minimum of a month later, you can move onto Reiki Level 2 where you learn about the reiki symbols, how to use them and about distance healing. Reiki level 2 is more the emotional and mental aspect. You would then with your Reiki Level 2 qualification be able to set up as a Reiki therapist, healing the general public.
Question: I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. I really want to learn Reiki to help me, but I am worried I won’t be able to cope and make a fool of myself in front of others.
Answer: I grew up with a mum who had panic attacks. I also started suffering with them after the birth of my daughter and an emergency c-section, so I understand what it is like.
The room is bright and airy with big windows. You can go to the garden in the breaks (or if you just need to). You might prefer sitting by a door, turning up a little earlier than everyone else so you can feel calmer. Have a chat with me. I have helped other students and it is more common than you think. It is a self- healing event after all. Imagine how proud you will feel attending the event and getting your Reiki 1 qualification.
