Reiki Level 1 is sometimes called Beginners Reiki. You do not need any previous experience. You may be completely new to Reiki, or you may have received Reiki before and now feel ready to learn how to use it for yourself.
We are all unique souls, and we all come to Reiki for different reasons. For some students, Reiki Level 1 is a beautiful day of personal development. For others, it becomes the first step towards Reiki Level 2, professional practice, or adding Reiki to an existing therapy, wellness, beauty or client-based business.
There is no pressure to know where Reiki will lead. You only need to feel drawn to begin.

Reiki Level 1 Training Day
This one-day Reiki Level 1 course in Culcheth, Warrington, Cheshire, is practical, friendly and supportive. Students travel from Warrington, St Helens, Stockport, Wigan, Widnes, Chorley and across the North West to learn Reiki in a calm, welcoming setting.
It is approved and accredited training, and you will gain a Reiki Level 1 qualification at the end of the day.
What You Will Learn on Your Reiki Level 1 Training Course
During your Reiki Level 1 training, you will learn the history of Reiki, the five Reiki principles, how Reiki energy is traditionally understood, and how to begin using Reiki in everyday life.
You will be taught how to give yourself Reiki, with practical experience on the day, and how to offer Reiki to a loved one at home. You will also receive your four Reiki Level 1 attunements, which are traditionally said to help you connect to Reiki energy more easily. This is not just theory from a book. You will be guided step by step in a way that is calm, clear and practical.
What Is Included?
Your Reiki Level 1 training day includes:
- Approved Reiki Level 1 training
- An accompanying Reiki 1 training brochure to take home
- Your four Reiki Level 1 attunements, said to help you connect to Reiki energy more easily
- The Reiki hand positions to help heal yourself, with time to practise on the day
- The hand positions for offering Reiki to a loved one, with practical demonstrations
- A framed certificate for your IPHM-approved, accredited Reiki Level 1 qualification
- Refreshments throughout the day. Simply bring your own lunch and a pen.
Your Reiki Lineage and Special Certificate Wording
Not all Reiki courses are equal. Because I am an Usui Reiki Master Teacher, I have a Reiki training lineage that can be traced through my teachers back to Mikao Usui, the original founder of Reiki. You will qualify in Reiki Level 1 and receive a fully accredited certificate. However, because you are being trained within this traditional Reiki lineage, you are also entitled to have these extra-special words included on your certificate:
“Attunement and training in the Usui Natural Healing in accordance with the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition.”
These words show that your Reiki training is connected to the traditional Usui system of Reiki and its teaching lineage. It means you are not simply completing a Reiki course. You are becoming part of something special, the continuing heritage of Reiki, passed from teacher to student for more than a century.

When you book your Reiki Level 1 training with Culcheth Healing, you are guaranteed to be taught by me, Julia, an experienced Reiki Master Teacher, rather than someone teaching theory alone. I have over a decade of Reiki teaching experience and run a successful Reiki practice, Culcheth Healing. I want to pass my years of Reiki knowledge and practical experience on to my students.
I am registered with the UK Reiki Federation at Reiki Master Teacher level and offer Reiki courses approved and accredited by IPHM. I am also a recognised Reiki expert who has been featured in UK and Australian media on Reiki and spiritual topics.
Most importantly, the day is taught in a supportive and down-to-earth way. You do not need to be “school smart”. You will be guided clearly and gently so that you can learn, practise and qualify with confidence.

After Reiki Level 1
After your Reiki Level 1 training, you are encouraged to practise self-Reiki for 21 days. This helps you become familiar with Reiki energy and gives you time to build confidence using Reiki for yourself. Completing your 21 days of practice during November means you can begin using your new self-Reiki skills before the festive season.
If you later feel drawn to continue, Reiki Level 2 is usually the next step. Reiki Level 2 is the level often taken by students who want to carry on the Reiki journey because they are being intuitively guided to do so and for a few, a desire to become a Reiki therapist. However, there is no pressure to continue on the Reiki path. Reiki Level 1 can be complete in itself as a self-healing day, a spiritual development experience and a valuable life skill.

How to Book
Simply give me a call on 07931 337941. You can then pay the £45 deposit by bank transfer, with the remaining £80 payable on the training day. I will email you to confirm all the event details. All students receive a text one week before the Reiki 1 training event and another reminder a day or two beforehand.
